British torpedo gunboats HMS Hebe and Circe being built according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1889 no. 10

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reported that at Sheerness, England 2 fast torpedo gunboats were built based on designs of Mr. White. Of the Salamander (1) type were the boats to be named Hebe (2) and Circe (3) with as dimensions 70 x 8,23 metres and a displacement of 735 tons. The triple expansion steam engine delivered 4.500 ehp. With a coal bunker capacity of 1.000 tons was with a speed of 10 knots a range of 2.500 nautical miles possible. The armament consisted of 2-36pd guns, 5-3pd quick firing guns and 5 torpedo launchers.
