Chinese destroyers Hai Ching, Hai Hoah, Hai Ling and Hai Nju arrived at Singapore according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 29 May 1899

An item dated Rotterdam, Netherlands 27th reported that all four Chinese destroyers Hai Ching, Hai Hoah, Hai Ling and Hai Nju arrived before the 26th at Singapore coming from Rotterdam.(1)

1. The Hai Ling-class laid down by Schichau, Elbing, Germany in 1897, launched and completed in 1898, all captured on 17 June 1900 and consisting of the Hai Hoa (became Russian Taku and later Leytenant Burakov), Hai Lung (became British Taku), Hai Hse (became French Takou) and the Hai Ying (became German Taku). Displacement 243 (normal)-284 (full load) tons and as dimensions 59.0 x 6,40 x 2,55 me metres.
